District Administration Ganderbal on Friday put 13 lecturers of Education Department under suspension after various winter coaching centres established by the department at various areas in Kangan area were found defunct during the surprise inspection.
The spokesman said in a statement that DDC Ganderbal conducted the inspection of the centres, meant for imparting coaching of competitive examinations, after receiving the complaints from the locals about the issue.
He said, DDC Ganderbal ensured that such inspections shall continue in future as well.
