A militant was killed in a brief shootout in Seer Jageer village of Tral on Monday .
Reports said that the forces had laid a siege in the village after the inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
“A local militant was killed in Tral village,” DIG south Kashmir SP Pani told a local newspaper.
Sources said that the deceased militant has been identified as Adil Ahmad Chopan, a resident of Laraw Jageer, Tral.
