One dead, 14 injured in Jehangir Chowk grenade attack

Srinagar

One person has died while fourteen others have suffered injuries in a grenade attack at Jehangir Chowk in Srinagar.

Reports said that 15 persons had suffered injuries initially. However, one among them died at a local hospital.

The deceased was identified as Maqsood Ahmad Shah, son of Ali Muhammad Shah, a resident of Budgam.

At around 6 pm today afternoon unidentified persons hurled a grenade on a CRPF party near Jehangir Chowk. However, the grenade exploded on the road injuring several persons.

No organisation has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
