SRINAGAR: A young boy was seriously injured in the police action in Koil, one of Pulwama’s major villages. He has been rushed to SKIMS after the doctors at District Hospital in Pulwama said he needs advanced treatment.
Reports said the area erupted in protest against the incidents that took place in and around Kakpora. They reportedly resorted to stone pelting on a police party. Initially , the police opened fire in air, reports said. It was in this action that a local young man was injured. Unconfirmed reports identified him as Kamran, a ninth standard student.
Koil village in Pulwama is not far away from the IAF base in south Kashmir.
