A fierce gunfight erupted between suspected militants and forces in Machil sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in northern part of Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday, reports said.
Reports quoting sources said that Army was busy in an “anti militant operation” at Sardari Nad forest area during which the hiding militants opened fire on forces triggering gunfight.
They said that an unidentified militant has been killed in the ongoing operation however there was no official confirmation.
