#Day61: Dozens of Civilians Injured In Pulwama, Kupwara Clashes; 5 Shifted To Srinagar

As the mass Kashmir uprising entered third month on Wednesday, dozens of civilians were injured after CRPF and police men fired tear gas canisters and pellets in North and South parts of the valley.

Reports reaching here said that a mass pro-freedom rally was scheduled to be held in Murran area of Pulwama district in South Kashmir today. But, forces raided the rally venue and injured dozens of civilians.

A t least 30 civilians were injured and are being treated at Rahmoo hospital. Two have been referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.

The locals had called for “Murran Chalo” today but forces are not allowing it.

Meanwhile, reports coming from North Kashmir’s Kupwara district said that at least eight persons were injured in clashes in Dardsun village of Kupwara today.

Reports said that three among the injured four were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

The rest of the injured were being treated at District Hospital Kupwara, reports added.
