At least two Photo-Journalists were injured when forces fired pellets on a procession in Old Srinagar on Sunday.
The action of forces comes a day after when at least six Photo-Journalists were injured on Saturday morning in Batamaloo when J&K Police cops beat them.
Syed Shahriyar, a young Photo-Journalist, while sharing details with Kashmir Life said that hundreds of people offered Namaz-e-Asr in open in Nadiyar area of Rainawari this evening.
The Namaz was offered in the ground of DAV School.
“The people then took out a pro-freedom procession which came under pellets and tear gas shells fired by forces,” he said. “Two of the Photo-Journalists who were covering the rally were hit by pellets.”
One of the injured Photo-Journalists was identified as Zuhaib Maqbool. He was hit by pellets in his face and arms.
“The equipment carried by journalist too suffered damages,” Hussain added.
The duo Journalists were rushed to SMHS hospital by their colleagues.
