Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir Friday expressed strong resentment over the approval of more pellets to valley for killing Kashmiris and termed it a blatant violation of human rights.

A statement issued to media by JeI’s press and publication division this afternoon said, “people from all walks of life knew the consequences of pellets on human body which has created havoc and damaged thousands of eyes of innocents so far. Despite people from all walks of life besides human rights foras also expressed its concern over the use of pellets in Kashmir but India is not ready to stop this lethal and life-snatching weapon on unarmed, innocent and hapless Kashmiris.”

“Indian forces in Kashmir have committed heinous crimes under the garb of draconian laws and have blatantly violated all human rights violations. Kashmir witnessed worst era of state sponsored terror in PDP-BJP combine, in which 72 innocent and unarmed youth have been killed and more than ten thousand people have got badly affected. Despite maiming, killings, torture and detentions, New-Delhi will never succeed in containing Kashmiris,” statement said.

“On one hand Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh had started a discourse on the replacement of pellets but on other hand Kashmiris are being rained and showered by pellets and bullets every day. It has become a routine of unruly forces to contain protests by indiscriminate use of pellets. It is ironical that forces operating in Kashmir against freedom struggle have received fresh quantity of 6.3 crore pellets which depicts the rigid stand and malicious intention of New-Delhi towards Kashmiris. Unluckily, this lethal weapon which was made for wild animals, India is using this against oppressed Kashmiris. India should know the more use of this weapon against Kashmiris will not deter people from achieving their birth right but it will reinvigorate the freedom struggle unambiguously, so better is India should accept the ground realities and happenings and come forward to accept the disputed nature of Kashmir,” statement reads.

“Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir impresses upon the world nations to rise above from the self-cum-national interests and urges upon India to end the use of pellets on Kashmiris and talk in favour of hapless Kashmiris who are dying under the tyranny of India,” statement added.

Moreover, Jama’at expressed anguish over the death of one more youth namely Danish Sultan of Palpora, Qamarwari who was chased by forces and was compelled to jump into the river Jhelum yesterday.

Jama’at at this movement expresses solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family of Danish Sultan and urges local and international human rights bodies to stop India from killing Kashmiris, the statement concluded.
