In Pulwama, Rasheed pays Tribute to Slain Militants, says Sacrifices Won’t go Waste

rasheedAwami Ittehad Party chief and independent MLA Er Rasheed Monday visited Karimabad Pulwama and offered condolences to the families of Bilal Ahmad Bhat and Naseer Ahmad Pandith, who died a few days ago in an encounter with forces, a party statement issued here read.

Addressing a gathering of mourners on the occasion Rasheed said, “Sacrifices offered by Kashmiri people will not go waste and India will have to come to the negotiating table for a sincere settlement to the issue.”

He said, “GoI needs to introspect the love for slain militants in the hearts of Kashmiris. One may differ with those holding arms in their hands but their desire and goal to resolve Kashmir Issue forces every Kashmiri cutting across political lines to salute their sacrifices.”

Rasheed, according to the statement, said that calling the militants as “terrorists” or Pakistani proxies will not wave-off the sins of Indian state. “Narendra Modi and every Indian ruler is responsible for the killings, as they have been misleading people of India over the real mass uprisings in Kashmir.”

Rasheed assured people that he will stand by them against all odds while fighting the state oppression.
