A gunfight erupted in Dadsara village of Tral Wednesday evening after forces launched a search and cordon operation.
Police sources said that on a specific information forces launched a cordon and search operation and the hiding militants started firing on forces. The army retaliated resulting in a fierce encounter. Army’s 42 RR and SOG are engaged in the gunfight.
However, there has been a brief lull in the exhange of fire when the last reports came in.
Meanwhile, police sources said, people started sloganeering and pelted stones on the forces. “Police resorted to teargas shelling resulting in injuries to one youth.”
