Police Tuesday said that an unidentified militant has been killed in a brief gunfight in South Kashmir’s Islamabad.
“The militant whose identity is yet to be ascertained was killed in Kokernag area in an encounter that broke out in wee hours of Tuesday morning,” police said.
Fearing the presence of other militants in the area, police said that a joint party of army and police has launched a search operation.
