A day after Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani asked people to hold protests post Friday prayers today, against slapping of PSA on Masrat Alam Bhat, a protest rally was held in Srinagar.
Reports said that activists of Hurriyat (G) held protests outside Masjid Hamza, in the civil lines area of Srinagar while a protests rally was taken out from Habbakadal area of Old City.
“Dozens of people started sloganeering against the arrest of Masarat, and shifting him to Jammu jail,” a witness said. “The protesters marched towards Jahangir Chowk, however, police intercepted them and they were stopped from marching ahead.”
