Open account in JK Bank only: Govt tells Departments

The Finance Department has instructed officers/officials including Drawing and Disbursing Officers of the State Government, Corporations, Public Sector Undertakings and other development authorities to open their official accounts with J&K Bank only.

In a circular, the Finance Department has asked all the Drawing and Disbursing Officers of the State Government, Corporations, Public Sector Undertakings and other development authorities, who have bank accounts in other banks, to close these accounts immediately and transfer the balances along with accrued interest to the bank account to be opened by them in J&K Bank by or before 30th April 2015.
