SRINAGAR
The minimum temperature overnight dropped below the freezing point, recording at minus 0.2 degree Celsius, for the first time this season in Srinagar.
The minimum temperature was minus 0.2 degree Celsius during the night in Srinagar city. This is the lowest recorded temperature this season so far in Srinagar city, said Met Office sources Monday.
They said the night temperatures are likely to drop further during the next seven days in the Kashmir Valley and the Ladakh region due to expected dry weather during this period.
Pahalgam recorded minus 3.6 and Gulmarg recorded minus 0.4 during the night. Leh town and Kargil recorded minus 9.6 and minus 8.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
